ABOUT US
We at Fujikura Technology Europe GmbH are proud to be part of the Japanese technology group Fujikura Ltd., founded in 1885. You have probably already had contact with the company's products in many cases without knowing it. We manufacture products worldwide in the fields of energy/telecommunications, automotive (e.g. for VW, Audi and Porsche) and electronics. As an important subsidiary of the R&D sector, we were founded in 2018 in Frankfurt am Main, Hesse, with the task of developing and marketing innovative and cross-industry solutions. This makes us the small digital hub of the development department. Our innovations and solutions focus on the areas of software, artificial intelligence, radar technologies and sensor technology. Originating from an international group, we decided in 2020 to set up two international subsidiaries ourselves. This is how FTES AG (Switzerland) and FTET (Turkey) were created to support our development department.
YOUR TASKS
• Project support from the concept phase to the executable system.
• Understand/specify FPGA based test platforms to enable silicon validation functionality.
• Program FPGAs for real-time DSP functions utilizing Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC) front ends, Digital-to-Analog Converter (DAC) back-ends, and High-Speed-Serial (HSS) IO.
• Design for FPGAs using VHDL or Open CoreFire Design Suite.
• Develop and implement Digital Signal Processing (DSP), communications, imaging, and other algorithms.
• Facilitate software integration efforts by developing new APIs and optimizing low level code.
• Document issues and propose workarounds to the team including senior management.
YOUR PROFILE
•BSc, MSc or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.
•3+ years implementing complex digital designs in programmable logic using FPGA devices, or equivalent experience in ASIC design.
•Can describe software designs at a high level (the abstract interface), low level (step-by-step algorithm), or anywhere in between.
•Strong capacity to quickly evaluate FPGA based project feasibility based on hardware limitation.
•Experience with Verilog, System Verilog and HDL-based design verification.
•Experience with the design of system-on-chip (SOC) architectures, memory & processor subsystems, networking, and peripheral interconnect is required.
•Knowledge of the TCP/IP stack and on-chip networking applications.
•working knowledge of either XILINX or ALTERA FPGA design flow.
•functional verification utilizing high-level methodologies (e.g. System Verilog) is a plus.
•Familiar with embedded software/firmware design, especially in complex debugging of on-target SW/HW interaction.
•Hands-on mentality and the willingness to be part of an innovative development team.
•Ability to think outside the box and acquire knowledge of RF and other related topics.
•Very good written and spoken English skills are mandatory.
WHAT WE OFFER
• A committed and open team with an appreciative atmosphere.
• You want to get stuck in your topic? Do you love thinking outside the box and want to gain new insights? We support you in both ways.
• Further development through personal and professional measures.
• You will participate in the success of a traditional, international group. Flat hierarchies, a high degree of flexibility, interesting contact opportunities and insights into other areas included.
